meet Elisa

I am a Registered Psychologist (Clinical Registrar) and I am a Doctoral Candidate at Charles Sturt University.

I hold the following qualifications:

  • Masters in Clinical Psychology
  • Masters in Professional Psychology
  • Bachelor in Psychology (Honours)
  • Bachelor in Business

I have a huge passion for the profession of psychology and believe there's a place for hope and even humour in successful therapy.  I treat a wide range of clinical and non-clinical mental health issues, but my special areas of interest are multiculturalism, neurodiversity and anxiety-related conditions, including:

  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Depression
  • OCD
  • Stress/burnout
  • Migration and assimilation
  • Gender and sexual identity related difficulties

In addition to English, I speak fluent Macedonian and I can communicate in Serbian and Croatian.

ASSESSMENTS

At NE Psychology we offer a range of assessments for children, adolescents and adults. We specialise in the following:

  • Intelligence Testing for Cognitive Ability (WISC-V)
  • Autism Spectrum Diagnostic Assessment (ADOS-2)

our Approach

Trying to manage your mental health on your own can leave you feeling frustrated and stuck. One of my skills as a psychologist is knowing how to best support you to grow a deeper understanding of yourself.

Once you know what motivates your emotions and behaviours, you can develop a strategy to manage them.

As your psychologist, I do everything possible to help you feel relaxed, comfortable and supported during our time together.

My person-centred approach to your therapy means I listen to you without judgement, and we work at a pace that suits you.  I gently explore your unique life experiences to gain an understanding of your situation so I can complete your tailored assessment. Then we work together to find the most practical and effective treatment for you, whether you’re here for short-term or long-term support.

I use a range of evidence-based therapies including:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Solution Focused Therapy
  • Psychoeducation

While each of these treatments is powerful on its own, I take an integrative approach. Every person is unique, and therapy works best when it is tailored to the needs of the individual.
